The National Capital Region Planning Board
The
National Capital Region Planning Board which was constituted in 1985 has the mandate for
preparing a Plan for the development of the National Capital Region and for coordinating
& monitoring the implementation of such Plan and for evolving harmonized policies for
the control of land-uses and development of infrastructure in the region so as to avoid
any haphazard development thereof. Thus the Board has the following functions:
r Preparation of
Regional Plan and Functional Plans;
r Getting the Sub-Regional & Project Plans
prepared by the participating States;
r Coordinating the
enforcement & implementation of the Plans through the participating States; and
r Arranging and
overseeing the financing of selected development projects.
